Our Mission
Our mission is to cultivate a diverse community of self motivated students and teachers who develop a
passion for excellence, enquiry and lifelong learning. The curriculum will prepare students for the
challenges of a competitive global economy, while the school culture will nurture self confidence,
responsibility and environmental awareness.
The Aims of the school
- To develop self awareness, a positive self image and the confidence to take
advantage of opportunities to develop their own talents and personalities in
order to live as independent and self-motivated members of the community.
- To encourage students to take pride in themselves and the school, through
their own endeavor.
- To provide a stimulating positive happy and caring environment, where the
students not only discover, develop and expand their knowledge but are
taught self discipline, respect for their elders and for authority. We want
to ensure that school and learning is fun for both staff and children.
- We want the children who attend our school to feel secure, valued,
respected and confident. We intend to help them develop a sense of
achievement through learning which is pleasant and rewarding both within
the school setting and at home.
- To ensure that each child enjoys a varied timetable learning to explore,
experiment, discover and communicate. It is vital to develop the whole
child and we place as much importance on play and social development as
we do upon academic fulfillment.
- Totally immerse each child in our Bhutanese traditions and culture and to
ensure that they are familiar with Driglam Namzha from the first years
of education.
- To heighten awareness and understanding of the environment and
environmental issues, and to encourage a sense of personal responsibility
for environmental stewardship on a local and global scale.
- Every child should leave the school with a maturity based on self
discovery, responsibility for themselves and for their King and country.
- To discover and foster at least one talent in each child.
- To promote their own good health and physical development.
- To acquire a reasoned set of attitudes and to be able to respect and
tolerate other races, religions and ways of life.
