Poems written by some of our students, were selected by Kuensel. for publication. The school produced its first album of English and Dzongkha songs. Groups of children formed The Junior Bookworms”, a programme on the local FM station. They enacted short plays, on air and read stories and poems.

The school’s second production was a musical, “Cinderella”, in which the whole school participated. The school will perform one each year

A week where books and reading are highlighted – authors are invited into school, stories are read by the older children to the lower classes, bookmarks and book posters are made and decorated and there is book sale in the playground where parents can come and choose books with their children. The highlight of the week is the costume parade where every child dresses up as their favourite book character. During 2008 we will hold a Dzongkha Book week, for the first time.
